Fold guide lines off

One PDF, already arranged onto double-sided sheets in fold order. Print double-sided, fold the stack in half, staple. No Booklet setting needed.

Print pages - one side at a time

For any printer, even without double-sided. Print a sheet, flip it, print the back. Stack, fold in half.

The same zine printed twice on one sheet, at half the size (4.25 x 5.5"). Print double-sided, cut across the middle, fold each half. You get two.

A zip of clean image pages, photos only, no text, one per page in order. Drop them into any Canva size and make it yours.

Printing the booklet

Open the PDF and choose Print.
Print double-sided. When asked which edge to flip, choose short edge (sometimes 'flip on short side'). This keeps the back of every sheet the right way up.
Leave Booklet OFF, and set scale to 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page. Zine has already arranged the pages, so it prints like a normal document.
Stack the sheets in the order they printed, fold the whole stack in half down the centre, and staple twice along the fold.

Printing one side at a time

Open the file and choose Print. Set scale to 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page.
Print the first sheet on one side.
Turn that sheet over left to right, like turning a page, and put it back in the tray.
Print the next page onto the back.
Do the same for each sheet. Stack them in order, fold the whole stack in half, and you're done.

For the JPEGs, the file names walk you through it: print '01-print-first', flip, print '02-flip-and-print', and on.

How to use the Canva photos

Unzip the file. Inside are your pages as images, named page-01, page-02, in order.
In Canva, start a design and drag the images in. Each one is a full page.
Add your own titles, words and touches on top. Nothing is locked.
